                                  Dog Feeding Tips

                                  1. Dogs should be fed at the same time approximately every day.
                                  2. An adult dog should eat once or twice per day, puppies should get 3-4 daily meals.
                                  3. Dogs must not be fed before exercise.
                                  4. When switching to a new food gradually transition him to a new food by mixing portions of both foods until you slowly phase the old food out. Your dog may experience diarrhea if his food is suddenly changed.
                                  5. Always provide a bowl of fresh, clean water. Change the water more times a day.
                                  6. Never leave old or stale food for your dog.
                                  7. Serve food at room temperature not refrigerated.
                                  8. Never fed brittle bones.
                                  9. Choose the best meat source for your dog's special needs. (For example: chicken is easier to digest than beef, and chicken has less calories than for example lamb).
                                  10. Keep food and water bowls clean.
                                  11. Don't overfeed your dog.
                                  12. If you have more dogs, separate bowls and separate meals are recommended.
                                  13. Follow the guidelines on the dog food package for recommended feeding amounts (if you feed your dog with industrial food).
                                  14. Carefully calculate your dog's calorie needs. Calorie needs vary among individual dogs.
                                  15. Monitor your dog's weight and activity level, and make feeding adjustments as necessary.
